Design, who are you?

To begin this new theme I would like to start by trying to find out or explain what is Design.

Design isn’t necessary something different or unique. For example, what good is a beautiful chair with a singular design, which turns out to be uncomfortable?

Design isn’t either just a sketch or an idea. What’s the utility of something you can’t use?

So, Design is a process to solve a problem, to respond to a necessity.

Design allows us to change.

Design is everything and is everywhere.

I would like to show you a small video where you can see what I’m talking about.

Because Design is everywhere, nowadays we have many “types” like for example:

Communication Design

Graphic Design

Web Design

Product Design

Interior Design

Fashion Design

Game Design

Industrial Design

Software Design,

among others…

“One could describe design as a plan for arranging elements to accomplish a particular purpose.”
